Audiobook Production
Audio is a third of the market. Most indie books never show up there.
The format most indie authors skip, produced properly.
Audiobooks are the fastest-growing format in publishing and the one most independent authors skip, usually because the production process is opaque. It does not need to be. You hear five narrators read your actual opening pages, pick one, and forty days later you have files that pass ACX quality control the first time.
Everything in the standard scope.
Listed so you can compare us line by line against anyone else you are considering.
- Five narrator auditions using your own text
- Professional studio recording, not a spare bedroom
- Director check-ins on pronunciation and pacing
- Editing, mastering, and noise floor to ACX spec
- Opening and closing credits produced for you
- Retail audio sample cut for the product page
- Distribution to Audible, Apple, Spotify, and Kobo
- Author-narration coaching if you record it yourself
The working process, stage by stage.
Casting
You hear five narrators read a passage from your book — not a generic demo reel — and choose on the strength of your own words.
Pronunciation guide
Names, places, and invented terms are agreed in writing before recording, which is what prevents costly pickup sessions.
Record and direct
Studio sessions run with a director present. Chapters come back for your review as they are finished.
Master and distribute
Files are mastered to retail spec, proof-listened end to end, then delivered to every audio retailer with your metadata attached.
About audiobook production.
Should I narrate my own memoir?
Often yes — memoir and personal non-fiction sell well in the author's own voice. We will coach you and record you properly. For fiction, a trained narrator almost always performs better.
How long does production take?
Roughly six to eight weeks for a standard-length book, from casting to retail availability.
Do I keep the audio rights?
Entirely. We distribute non-exclusively where possible so you are never locked into a single retailer.

You talk, we write. A dedicated ghostwriter builds your book from interviews, notes, or a half-finished draft — in your voice, not ours.
